Do you really want to get your child story published?

You see, most writers think that the process of getting into print goes something like this:

  • Think of great idea for child storybook
  • Write child story
  • Approach child book publishing company
  • Get published (if you're lucky!)

This approach may work great for established authors but for Mr. or Mrs. Unknown the chances of success are, well, only 1%, as we’ve already said.

For the budding author, the real process of getting into print is something like this:

  • Think of great idea for child storybook
  • Write child story
  • BUILD PLATFORM
  • Approach child book publishing company (or publishers approach you!)
  • Get published

Building your platform is the missing ingredient. But what is a platform?

A platform could variously be described using words such as “momentum”, “critical mass”, a “track record”, “notoriety” or a host of other words. The point is to prove that your book has appeal. And if you build your platform well, you may even get noticed. You can attract publishing deals instead of having to hunt them down yourself.

Does building your platform sound difficult?

It doesn’t have to be. In fact, you can get started immediately. All you have to do is submit one or more stories to The Child Stories Bank. If your application is approved, we’ll host your story on our website. It will be available for millions of people to read online, download, and enjoy.

Imagine being able to tell a publisher that your story was downloaded 1 million times! That would certainly get their attention!

You see, the problem for publishers is not access to manuscripts, the problem is finding books that will be winners. They’re literally inundated with manuscripts and searching for the proverbial needle in the haystack.

If your story has been downloaded 1 million times, or even 10,000 times, they would consider it a winner already. Now, if you were a publisher, would you rather publish a child story that was a potential winner or a child story that was a proven winner?
